SAP Senior Consultant Logistics
In teams of variable size (2 - 40 colleagues, depending on the project scope) you introduce SAP systems and SAP modules to our customers. You work out the requirements with the customer, always keeping line of sight on the overall process. You implement the requirements by yourself in the customer system and specify the necessary developments for the developers working directly on-site in the team. You coordinate technical and organizational topics with customers, developers and technicians. You familiarize junior consultants from the team with the scope of work and actively participate in the development of new colleagues. The work usually takes place at the customer site, which means traveling 4 days a week is not a problem for you.

Your experiences & skills:
You have a working experience of 5 years or more in the SAP environment. Whether you've completed your professional training, or your studies is not relevant - because at abat skill, talent, curiosity and dealings with each other are much more important than evidence from academic achievement. You have industry process experience in manufacturing companies, automobile manufacturers or suppliers or logistics companies.
In the SAP environment, you are a specialist in 2-3 of the following modules (introduction and further development):
- New S/4 modules
- LE: Logistics Execution

You work for our customers on site or in the home office. Your home office is also your place of business. Moving to one of our office locations is not required. Of course, you can always visit our offices in Bremen, Munich, Walldorf, Sindelfingen and Saarbrücken to meet with colleagues or work together on tasks. Since you are based at your place of residence, the travel to our office locations is considered a business trip.
To enable a good professional network despite the physical separation, we organize four team events per year to promote internal communication, information sharing and to celebrate. We publish an electronic weekly newsletter addressing professional, organizational and private topics which provides professional information and food for thought, even if you do not live in one of the office locations.
Administrative activities are kept away from our consultants wherever possible, so you can concentrate fully on our clients' tasks. For example, our internal service ensures that travel planning, training organization, travel expense reporting and invoicing to our customers require minimal involvement from you. The only administrative activities that are expected of you, are weekly creation of timesheets and submission of expense receipts for charges you made on the company credit card you are given.
An attractive salary system consisting of 13 monthly salaries as well as a “transparent” performance bonus, which reflects your personal success, form the financial reward. Individual salary components are mutually agreed upon. The content-related objectives of profit-sharing are transparent for everyone, and the payout is not limited to certain employees. On average it is around 2-3 additional month’s salary. You receive additional rewards for attracting customer projects or new employees.
As a senior consultant you can get a company car. The brand is selected by the employee from among the German manufacturers and abat customers Volkswagen, Audi, BMW and Mercedes (and related brands). You configure your car individually according to your own wishes.
As part of the annual strategy discussion on personal development, including a corresponding training plan, we plan the future together. We provide excellent education and training opportunities, through specially developed abat seminars and a comprehensive collection of SAP demo and test systems which provide platforms for learning.
