Digitization processes have now become part of everyday business life - whether it's replacing business trips with video conferences or introducing a paperless office instead of cabinets full of file folders. But it can also extend to the introduction and use of the latest technologies. Analog processes should not simply be converted 1:1 into digital form, and digitization should not be implemented for the sake of digitization. Instead, there should be clearly defined goals and digitization should merely be a means to an end in order to be able to carry out processes more efficiently, in a more structured manner or in a more automated manner.
In addition, social as well as ecological criteria, for example energy and resource consumption, data economy, data protection or discrimination by algorithms, must be considered when using technologies.
