Logistics Reimagined: Intelligent. Resilient. Automated.

abat presents AI use cases at LogiMAT 2026

Hall 4 Booth 4B46

Visit us from March 24 to 26, 2026, at the Stuttgart Exhibition Center. At booth 4B46 in hall 4, we will present our service portfolio under the motto "AI Business Scenarios with SAP." We will provide practical information on how AI-based solutions can measurably improve logistics, document, and SAP-related processes.

We will focus on applications that stabilize supply chains, automatically record stock levels, simplify inventories, and optimize transport decisions based on data — all of which are integrated directly into existing SAP systems.

Additionally, we will demonstrate how AI can read documents, understand their content, compare it, and make it usable for decision-making purposes related to purchasing, quality, sustainability, and compliance. Visitors will also learn how AI cleans master data, uncovers missing information, and provides long-term support for SAP transformations — a proven, scalable solution. Here are a few examples of the use cases we will report on:

AI counts, SAP books: Automated inventory processes

A live scenario at the trade fair stand will show how products are recognized by artificial intelligence and automatically booked in SAP EWM. The AI analyzes an image containing objects and automatically recognizes and counts them. The resulting data is seamlessly posted in the EWM system and immediately available for subsequent processes.

Along with the live demo of the incoming goods process, we will present practical use cases for real-time inventory recording and control. We will use real project scenarios to demonstrate how AI-supported image recognition and automation can create transparency, reduce stock discrepancies, and significantly speed up inventory processes, even during ongoing warehouse operations.

Rethinking SAP TM: AI agents plan, optimize, and understand language

Another forward-looking scenario at the abat trade fair stand demonstrates the application of artificial intelligence in SAP S/4HANA Transportation Management. Rather than relying exclusively on hard planning parameters and fixed optimization rules, the AI uses historical transport planning and the implicit expertise of experienced dispatchers to suggest optimal routes.

It analyzes past decisions, proven routes, seasonal effects, and typical deviations to derive intelligent planning suggestions. The result is route planning that is not only theoretically optimal but also based on real-life practice, including factors that are difficult to map in traditional algorithms.

AI detects disruptions before they occur, making supply chains more resilient

Learn from our experts how AI is replacing reactive supply chain management with reliable predictions. A forecasting model developed by abat and Volkswagen Mexico identifies risks of production downtime at critical suppliers up to five days in advance. Rather than only identifying bottlenecks when they occur, the AI continuously analyzes historical and current supply chain data, detects anomalies, and categorizes suppliers based on risk. With over 84% forecasting accuracy, VW Mexico monitors around 280 suppliers, reduces unplanned downtime, and gains time for targeted countermeasures. The result is greater production reliability, faster response times, and a scalable blueprint for all industries with cycle-based supply chains.

SAP S/4HANA is up and running - but do you know how well?

SAP EWM and SAP TM control warehouse and transportation operations. SAP Signavio uses real data to show if these processes are efficient, stable, and scalable. Instead of just migrating them technically, Signavio makes S/4HANA processes measurable and controllable. The suite analyzes end-to-end processes in real time, identifying deviations, risks, and inefficiencies, and providing specific recommendations for action. Process Insights offers a quick start with KPIs and benchmarks, while Process Intelligence provides the depth necessary for data-based redesign and active change management. Process mining, automation, and management cockpits create transparency, reduce system breakdowns, and increase compliance, reaction speed, and process effectiveness in the long term.
