abat experts also in demand as authors

Our colleagues René Kessler, Stefan Rosenwald and Markus Fischer have contributed an exciting chapter on the subject of inventory in the newly published "Praxishandbuch digitale Automobillogistik" by Springer Fachmedien. In many companies, inventory counting is a highly visual process that requires a great deal of effort, especially due to the manual counting of physical goods.

Under the title "DroSmart inventory processes - How processes can be optimized through the use of AI and drones", the three authors report on the approach developed by abat and the University of Oldenburg to automate manual counting in the inventory process with the help of drones and AI. This approach uses various AI and data science methods from the field of computer vision to recognize and classify products. In addition, the resulting solution has the ability to simplify the post-inventory process. The modularity of the functionalities also allows transferability to other inventory processes or completely different use cases.

In order to help you assess the potential for the use of an automated warehouse inventory system, we have provided a short questionnaire on our web site. There is also a onepager available at this link that briefly introduces our SMARTSolution.
